This American Made wooden sailboat is far superior when compared to other boats in the quality of the materials and workmanship. As far as sailing performance, there is simply no comparison. The wood is Western Red Cedar which is used on full sized boats because it holds up so well to water, so there will be no issues with the paint popping off after being in the water. People love the kit because it is so easy and fast to assemble and it makes it a very special boat when you have participated in the fun of building. Painting or varnishing can be nice, but it is not necessary since the Western Red Cedar is so impervious to water. A real winner - whether out sailing or on display! 15L x 25H
